Classical Verification of Quantum Computations

چکیده
We present the first protocol allowing a classical computer to interactively verify result of an efficient quantum computation. achieve this by constructing measurement protocol, which enables verifier use prover as trusted device. The forces behave follows: must construct $n$ qubit state his choice, measure each in Hadamard or standard basis directed verifier, and report results verifier. soundness is enforced based on assumption that learning with errors problem computationally intractable for machines.

Quantum vs Classical Proofs and Subset Verification
We study the ability of efficient quantum verifiers to decide properties of exponentially large subsets given either a classical or quantum witness. We develop a general framework that can be used to prove that QCMA machines, with only classical witnesses, cannot verify certain properties of subsets given implicitly via an oracle. We use this framework to prove an oracle separation between QCMA...
متن کاملEfficient classical simulation of slightly entangled quantum computations.
We present a classical protocol to efficiently simulate any pure-state quantum computation that involves only a restricted amount of entanglement. More generally, we show how to classically simulate pure-state quantum computations on n qubits by using computational resources that grow linearly in n and exponentially in the amount of entanglement in the quantum computer. Our results imply that a...
متن کاملVerification of Certifying Computations
Formal verification of complex algorithms is challenging. Verifying their implementations goes beyond the state of the art of current verification tools and proving their correctness usually involves non-trivial mathematical theorems. Certifying algorithms compute in addition to each output a witness certifying that the output is correct. A checker for such a witness is usually much simpler tha...
متن کاملClassical verification of quantum circuits containing few basis changes
We consider the task of verifying the correctness of quantum computation for a restricted class of circuits which contain at most two basis changes. This contains circuits giving rise to the second level of the Fourier Hierarchy, the lowest level for which there is an established quantum advantage. We show that, when the circuit has an outcome with probability at least the inverse of some polyn...
متن کاملVerification of MPI-based Computations
Mpi-Spin [1, 2] is an extension to the model checker Spin [3, 4] for verifying correctness of MPI-based parallel and distributed algorithms. It adds to Spin’s input language a number of types, constants, and functions corresponding to primitives in the MPI Standard [5]. The semantics of these added primitives are defined using an abstract model of a generic MPI implementation which encodes all ...
